Darrell J Jackson

Darrell J Jackson, age 51, of Woodbine, passed away on Saturday May 22, 2021 at his home. He was born in Barbourville, KY a son to the late Alvin Jackson and Lois Brown Jackson. Darrell was a gifted story teller and worked at Young's Auto Body, and he was a US Army veteran. A father figure to too many to list; he is survived by his wife, Lois Jackson; Children, Brittany McNeal (Josh), Brandie Smith (Dustin), Kevin Wells (Kayla), and Kinzley; Poppy to many, including Ayvah, Isley, Odin, Kevin, Cameron, Mya, Gavin, Bryson, Molly, Mason, Sophy, Wesley, Luke, Tyson, Haylen, Autumn, Jackson, Oakley, Paxton, and Carlee; siblings, Michael Jackson (Tanya), and Fredia Jackson; niece and nephew, Casey, Kaitley (Daltyn), and Coty (Courtney); and a very special man that Darrell called "dad", Tommy Love and by many friends including those who were more like brothers, Chad Gregory, Mike Nichols, Rod Carter Jr., Gary Siler, Jeff Leach, and Bobby Worley. Funeral service for Darrell will be held at 2pm on Friday Maty 28, 2021 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Carty Cemetery in Girdler, KY. Visitation will be on Thursday May 27th from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home where messages may be written to the family at vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com
