David Brian Williams

David Brian Williams, age 54, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Charlie Norwood VAMC in Augusta, GA after a brief illness. He is survived by parents, Ralph O. and Betty Lois Williams, brother Stephen M. Williams, sister-in-law Laurel Williams, niece Shelby Jean Williams and loving companion, Paula Benthal.
Born October 31, 1958, in Corbin KY, David was a long-time resident of Knoxville, TN and graduated from Karns High School. A U.S. Army veteran, David loved spending time with friends and family. David was a courageous, independent soul who was eager to laugh and handled his situation in life with determination and without complaint. His laughter and indomitable spirit will be missed by those whose lives he touched.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 31, 2013, at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church, 7753 Oak Ridge Hwy., Knoxville, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Service will follow.
Interment will be Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 am at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, KY with local arrangements by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
