David Christopher Boian

David Christopher Boian, 47, of Corbin, passed away on July 12, 2017 at his home following a long illness.  He was born on May 6, 1970 in Lexington, KY. He graduated from Corbin High School in 1988 and EKU in 1993, and went on to work in dentistry for 22 years.  An outdoorsman, Chris loved to hunt, fish, hike and explore nature.  He said that he always felt closest to God when he was in the woods.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, was very artistic, and loved history and anything military-related.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Ruby Boian and Raymond and Mary Burkhart.  He leaves behind his wife of 23 years, April, and his two children, Alex and Taylor.  In addition, he is survived by his parents, Jerry and Reva Boian of North Fort Myers, FL, his sister, Julie (Tom) Smith of Dry Ridge, KY, his mother-in-law, Pat Taylor of Corbin, sisters-in-law, Debbie (Terry) Vogt and Dawn Grogan of Lexington, KY along with two nieces, three nephews, and a host of other family and friends all who loved him.
A private memorial will be held by his family and a Celebration of Chris's Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
