David E. Wilburn, age 45, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at his residence.
Born in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Harold and Margie Blanton Wilburn, and had worked at the Hagyard Horse Farm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Harold Wilburn in 2008.
David is survived by his wife, Patricia Lynn Hubbard Wilburn; children, Christina Wilburn and David Wilburn, both of Lexington, Ashley Hufnagle of Winchester, and step-daughter, Tammy Hall of Barbourville; grandchildren, Sara, Wesley and Jayde Boggs, Sabin and Cameron Watkins, and Hailey, Alyssa, and Jacob Hall; brothers, Wayne Wilburn and wife Tammy of Barbourville, Rex Wilburn and wife Dolly of Lexington, and Thomas Wilburn and wife Karen of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Doris Issaccs and husband Conley of Lexington, Loretta Ross and husband Larry of Cynthiana, Estella Wilburn of Corbin, and Wanda Middleton and husband Carl of Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Friday, January 13, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
