David Elliott

David Elliott, 74, of Woodbine, passed away at home on Sunday, November 14, 2010.
Born in East Bernstadt, KY, he was the son of the late Dave and Lillie May Carter Elliott. He had been a coal miner and was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elzetta Rapier Elliott; three grandchildren, Jason Glen Cole, Latisha Cole Self, and David Earl Cole; brothers, Starling, Garland and Jack Elliott; sister, Kathleen Hodge; and infant sisters, Dorothy and Mary Elliott.
He is survived by daughters, Lisa Cole and husband Eddie, Marie Cole and husband Ralph, Patty Exline and husband Les, Rosie Bassette and husband Marcel, Jeannie Elliott, and Diane Hubbard; sons, Bobby Joe Elliott and wife Audrea and David Elliott Jr; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Hodge of Georgetown; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 11 am Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Clouse Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Cole, Eddie Cole, Tony Cole, Joe Elliott, Les Exline and Jonathan Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Winters, Eddie Wayne Cole, Marcel Bassette, Johnny Hodge, Jackie and Terry Elliott, Charles Nantz and Roy Lanham.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master St., Corbin, KY.
