David Eugene Collins

David Eugene Collins, age 62, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Friday March 24, 2023, at his home in Indianapolis.

Born in Corbin, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Eugene Collins and Norma Love Collins.  David was a truck driver with Ryder, and loved race cars, grilling out, and sitting at a picnic table.

He is survived by his life partner of 20years, Rebecca Welsh, siblings, Shirley Persing (Rick), James Collins, Wayne Collins, Linda Sue Collins, and Jackie Collins (Brenda), step mother, Patricia Collins, and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will mourn his passing.

Visitation will be on Tuesday April 4, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY, from 12noon until 2pm.  His funeral service will begin at 2pm with Rev. Vernon Morris officiating.  Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
