David Lee Flannelly

David Lee Flannelly, age 63, of Gray, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at his home.

Born in Corbin, he was a son of the late Perry Flannelly and Beulah Mae Rapier Flannelly. David was a very hard worker in all aspects of life. He spent 25 years working in the maintenance department at J.C. Penney. He enjoyed the small things in life and greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Corine Flannelly, stepchildren, Sarah Goins, Ernest Wayne Brumley, Dock Hodge, and Martina Flannelly, three siblings, Doris Ann Flannelly Vaughn, Barbara June Jones, and Danny Ray Flannelly.

He is survived by his son, Brandon Flannelly, daughter, Shenna Witt (Shaun), stepchildren, Ruby Taylor (James), Della Blevins (Roy), Stella Hodge (Wade Helton), and Goldie Eaton, grandchildren, Cassie Flannelly, Julie Wilson, Trent Witt, Trevor Witt, and Jacob Smith, companion, Elizabeth Blanton, and three siblings, Flora Mae Flannelly, Thomas Perry Flannelly (Sharon), and Gary Samuel Flannelly.

Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 12noon on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.

Burial will follow at McHargue Cemetery in Laurel County, KY.
