Davy Smith

Davy Smith, 76, of Corbin passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
Born in Leslie County, KY he was a son of the late Bill and Mattie Sizemore Smith. Davy was also predeceased by a sister, Chloe Howard, and six brothers: Clophas, Oscar, Raymond, Roy, Windfred, and Troy Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Wanda J. Smith; four children: David L. Smith, David R. Smith, Travis Walker, and Vicki L. Smith; a granddaughter Makayla; and four sisters: Emma, Lizzie, and Audrey Morgan and Eva Jean Hogard; special nieces and nephews Matt and Evelyn Muncie and daughter Asia, Gail and Norman Johns, Eva Jean Stephens, and Gary and Tina Morgan.
Davy worked 32 years at the General Motors Buick division plant in Flint, MI. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, repairing cars for resale, and watching Westerns on television. He loved his family and had a big heart for others.
His visitation will be 1-3 PM Wednesday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Ryan Osborne officiating.
