Deborah Helton Knight

Deborah M. Helton Knight, 51, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Baptist Regional Medical Center. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Ruby Dugger Goforth and of Jack Helton.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Estele and Anna Rae Dugger; sister, Marijean Bowdler; and nephew Joshua Goforth.
She is survived by her husband Ray Knight Sr.; children, Jerry Wynn of Corbin, Ray Knight Jr. and Kaira Knight, both of Montgomery, Alabama; father, Jack Helton of California; sister-in-law, Fannie Baker of Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers-in-law, Willie Knight of Birmingham and Brasize Knight of Montgomery; two special sisters in heart, Trish Green and husband Bubba and D.J. Webb and daughter Chelsea; sisters, Myra Goforth and husband Henry of Corbin, and Jackie Helton and husband Abdul Ghaffaar of Georgia; brothers, Allen Helton and wife Becky of Woodbine, Bill Bowdler and wife Beverly of Gray; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 pm Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help with the cost of funeral arrangements.
