Delbert North

Delbert North, 81, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gillis and Gracie Saylor North; Wife, Darlene North; Daughter, Mary Jean Taylor; Grandson, Kevin North; and by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Delbert was a man of faith and attended Gray Pentecostal Church. He spent many years as a bus driver for Knox County Schools. Most of all he loved fishing, trading, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; Children, Dale North (Kelly), Gracie Northwoods (Christina), Delbert Junior (Rita), Dewayne North (Lisa), Becky Lewis (Junior), Katherine Marie North, Trenton Harrell, Jessie Gray, Glenda Smith, Casey Gray, and Robin Boles; Sister, Dorothy Mills; and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service for Delbert North, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
There will be a visitation period from 6:00-9:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the funeral home.
