Delbert Swafford

Delbert Swafford, age 71, of Rockholds, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Oak Tree Hospital.
Born in Clay County, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Susie Nantz Swafford. He was a member of the Corn Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his bothers, Boyd Swafford, Walter Swafford and Wilton Swafford; and by his nephew, Tommy Joe Swafford.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Fore Swafford; daughter, Mary Swafford Butler; sons, Delbert Swafford Jr. and wife Brandy and Matthew Wade Swafford; two grandchildren, Katie and Kasey Hamlin; two sisters, Helen Perkins and Mary Stott; three brothers, Tilmon Swafford and wife Linda, John Swafford and wife Brenda, and Roy Swafford and wife Teresa; sister-in-law, Betty Swafford; and several nieces and nephews, all who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Swafford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00 pm Monday, Oct. 15, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
