Delbert Virgil Rickett

Delbert Virgil Rickett, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at St Joseph Hospital in London.
He was born in Gatliff, KY, the son of the late Portia and Irene Rickett. He was a retired Truck Driver, a US Army Veteran, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by his two Brothers, Junior and H.C. Rickett.
He is survived by his wife of 55 year whom he married on September 13, 1955, Shirley Disney Rickett; three Children, Randy Rickett and wife Kathy of Corbin, Gary K. Rickett and wife Kimberly of Westland, MI,  and Mark Rickett and wife Kelli of Corbin; 22 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Harold Rickett; Sisters, Helen McKiddy both of Williamsburg, and Ruth Ann Johnson of Louisville; as well as, many nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, Sept., 18, 2010, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily with Grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Friday, Sept 17th, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master St, Corbin.
