Dimple Shirley Jean Parris

Dimple Shirley Jean Parris, age 85, of Indian Creek Rd., Woodbine, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday October 25, 2021 at her home. She was born on Indian Creek, Knox County, Kentucky a daughter to the late Roscoe Helton and Linda McVey Helton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, six sisters, one grandson, one granddaughter, one great grandson, and one great granddaughter. Dimple is survived by her children, Shirley Gesell, Beverly Johnson, Bobby Broughton, Anita Evans and husband Wayne, Johnny Broughton and wife Angie, and Paul Broughton; a daughter through love, Cindy Broughton; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday October 29, 2021 at Old Poplar Creek Baptist Church, Route 11 in Knox County.
Her funeral service will be held at Old Poplar Creek Baptist Church at 1pm on Saturday October 30, 2021 with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Parks-Helton Cemetery in Knox County, Kentucky Arrangements by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, where messages may be written to the family at vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com
