Don E. Saylor

Don E. Saylor, age 68, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011, at his residence.
Born in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John M. Saylor and Viola Saylor. Don had worked as a carpenter, was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, and had served as a missionary.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sisters, Lorene Elliott, Alice Gillentine, and Serida and Grace Saylor.
He is survived by his children, John A. Saylor of McHenry, Illinois, Tina Zambrano of Cary, Illinois, and Jim D. Saylor and wife Sandra of Johnsburg, Illinois; grandchildren, Patricia, P.J., Michael, Crystal, Sara, Jimmy, Jodie, and Johnny; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Michael; sisters, Mary Hensley of Belleville, Michigan, Kathleen Payne of Corbin, and Marsha Rose and husband John of Ypsilanti, Michigan; special friend, Papa Smurf; and other family and friends, especially all his friends at Good Hope Baptist Church and Baptist Housing.
Visitation will be from 12 noon on Tuesday, May 24, until the funeral hour at 3pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, Kentucky with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin.
