Donald G. Kirby, 76, of Corbin passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital at London.
A native of Loyall, KY, he was a son of the late Clayton Kirby and Ina Evans Kirby Humphrey. Don was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from National Standard Co. He was known for selling honey and molasses on the US 25E roadside in North Corbin.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Winnie Mullis Kirby, a grandson Cameron Scott Kirby, and his sister Flora Katherine House.
Survivors include two daughters: Tina Kirby Haggard and husband Dwayne of Corbin and Denise Kirby Binion and husband Cove of Stafford, VA; three grandchildren: Brittany, Rebekah, and Patrick Binion, all of Stafford; two step-grandsons: Landon Turner and Leland Haggard of Talbott, TN; two brothers: Jerry Kirby and wife Sue of Corbin, and Jack Kirby of Salem, VA; a brother-in-law Charles House and wife Doris of London.
A memorial service will be held at 7pm Monday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5pm Monday.
