Donald Lee Miller

February 25, 1948 — February 10, 2023

Donald Lee Miller, age 74, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Friday February 10, 2023, at his home in Somerset.


Born in Barbourville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Frank Miller Sr., and Ethel Lay Miller.  Donald was a retired flooring installer and a US Army Veteran.   He loved working on cars and racing in his younger days.  Donald enjoyed woodworking and western movies, especially those starring John Wayne.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in by a daughter, Donna Lee Miller, and by his brothers, Homer Miller, Harold Dean Miller, Frank Miller Jr., and William Allen Miller.


Donald is survived by his daughters, Barbara Bishop (Randy) of Franklin, OH, and Charlotte Miller of Nashville, TN, granddaughter, LaTessa Doyle, sisters, Shirley Rains of Corbin, Ann Daws of Somerset, Joan Henry (Edmond) of Russell Springs, Geneva Miller of Dayton, OH, and Ruth Mann of Somerset.


Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 on Saturday February 18, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2:30pm with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  Military honors will be presented by Keavy D.A.V.


Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery, Davis Bend, Knox County, Kentucky.
