Donald Lee Poff, 74, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Knox County, he was the son of the late Joseph and Callie Davenport Poff. He was a truck mechanic and advisor for Poff Carting. He attended Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Ray Poff; two brothers, Everett Poff and Wayman Poff; sisters, Genell Galusha, Gladys Kroll, and Cleda Mae Bassett.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Owens Poff; two sons, Gerald Poff and wife Karen of London, and Derrick Poff and wife Susan of Barbourville; daughter, Robin Karr of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Poff of Las Vegas; two sisters, Bobbie Davis and Mildred Seremak, both of Gray; step-son, Rick Allen of Corbin; step-daughter, Natasha Maynard of Rogersville, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, December 11, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Keaton Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm, Thursday, Dec. 10, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
