Donald Ray Collins

Donald Ray Collins, age 69, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Friday April 9, 2021 at Baptist Health in Corbin. He was born in Whitley County, son of the late Elijah Albert Collins Jr. and Jessie Elizabeth Bryant Collins. Don was well known by many as manager and salesman for many years at B & H Shoes in Corbin. He was an active member of Level Green Baptist Church. Don loved his family especially his grandchildren. He was also an avid lover of music, golfing, and bowling. Don was a friend to many and will be sadly missed by his family, church family, and by his many friends. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Collins (Nicholas Blizard); sister, Barbara Gregory (Harold); grandchildren, Reagan Waters and Hailey Waters; and by a nephew James Ray Gregory (Catherine), and their children, Elijah and Shelby Gregory. Visitation will be from 2-5pm on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be at 5pm on Tuesday with Bro. Raymond Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin. In accordance with COVID guidelines and especially by the wishes of the family, those attending either the visitation or funeral service are required to have a face covering. Face coverings will be provided by the funeral home for those without.
