Donna Kay Whetsell

Donna Kay Whetsell, 70, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at her home in Corbin. Born in Corbin, Donna was the daughter of the late Homer and Geraldine Mills Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband Julian Whetsell. Donna was a member of Bacon Creek Baptist Church, and a 1967 graduate of Corbin High School. She was a retired pharmacy tech of 37 years with Rite Aid. Donna was a longtime fan and member of "Forever 4 Rex." She is survived by her children: Polly Hibbard (Rick), Shawn Bryant (Lesley), Jennifer Osborn (Bill), Melanie Alsip (Roger), and Rebecca Paul; grandchildren: Daniel and Matthew Hibbard, Samantha Cawood, Justin and Emily Bryant, Makenzie Phillips, Billy Osborn, Jacob Helton, Lucas Alsip, Kristina Sutton, Julian and Taylor French, and Landon Ledford; several great-grandchildren; siblings: Terry Taylor (Barbara), Larry Taylor (Penny), Benny Taylor (Connie), Tina Hill (Rick), and Richard Taylor (Jeff); and by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Darvin Wells officiating. Burial will take place in the Bingham Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Alsip, Jacob Helton, Matthew, Daniel and Rick Hibbard, Julian French, Jeff Godsey,Jeremy Estep, and William Osborn.
