Donna Lee Perkins

Donna Lee Perkins, 78, of Woodbine, KY, passed away on June 14, 2022, in Newton NC. Born on August 27, 1943, in Harlan KY to Harrison & Beulah Hill. She went to high school at Knox Central and graduated in 1960. She worked as a textile worker for Carolina Mills for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, loving and caring for her dogs along with solving crossword puzzles. Donna is survived by her Children, Robert & Paul Perkins, of Woodbine, KY, Shara Diamond & Kelvin Perkins of Hickory, NC. sisters, Janice Grant, Rhonda McKinley, brother, Cecil Hill, grandchildren, Jamie Perkins, Samantha Godfrey, Pricilla Sigmon, and Cameron Perkins, great-grandchildren, Payton Parks, Koby Parks, Brayden Parks, Taytum Godfrey, Lidia Beverly, and Gracelynn Beverly, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Billy Perkins, parents, Harrison & Beulah Hill, siblings: Shirley Ray Hill, William “Jabo” Hill, James Hill, Phyllis Grant, children Curtis Perkins and Linda Sigmon. Grandchild, Donnie Beverly. Funeral service will be held at Indian Gap Baptist Church on Friday, June 17th at 2:00 pm with Reverend Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Well’s Cemetery, Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, June 17th from 12:00noon until 2:00 pm Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Well's Cemetery perpetual care fund.
