Doris Erphene Sexton

Doris Erphene Well Sexton, age 88, of Annville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Jackson Manor in Annville, KY.

She was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on February 10, 1935 to the late William Wells and Minnie Karr Wells.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan E. Sexton, three sons, Ronnie, Donald, and Terry Sexton, a daughter, Brenda Sexton, and a granddaughter, Chloe Sexton.

Doris is survived by her grandchildren, Diane Lial of Gastonia, NC, Carrie Jones (Rolin) of Middleburg, FL, Travis Reynolds of Corbin, KY, Derek Sexton (Julie) of Taylorsville, NC, and Donald Sexton of Taylorsville, NC, eight great grandchildren, Morgan and Cody Lial of Gastonia, NC, Cara Crowley (Travis) of Jacksonville, FL, Alex Jones of Middleburg, FL, and Bradley, Destiny, Grace, and Stephanie Sexton, all of Taylorsville, NC, and seven great great grandchildren, Autumn Dorgi, Bonnie Crowley, and Cooper, Gunner, Ella Mae, Braeliegh, and Jazlyn Sexton all of Taylorsville, NC.

Visitation will be held from 12-3pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 3pm on Saturday.

Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky.
