Dorotha "Dot" Widener

Dorotha "Dot" Widener, age 81, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Friday April 19, 2024, at Baptist Health in Corbin.

Born in Bell County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Demps Taylor and Grace Jones Taylor. Dot loved dancing but mostly she enjoyed spoiling her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roger Steele and by her siblings, Lloyd Taylor, Paul Taylor, Barbara Storms, Demps Taylor Jr., Larry Wayne Taylor, and Marvin Roy Taylor.

Dot is survived by her son, Ronnie Bright and wife Linda; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Doyle Taylor, Patricia Goodin, and Sandra Taylor; and by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday April 23, 2024, from 6-8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 5pm on Wednesday April 24th.

Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.
