Dorothy Louise Moore

Dorothy Louise Moore, age 90, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
Born in Newport, Tn, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Eula Clevenger. She spent many years working as a clerk and supervisor at Roses. Dorothy loved country music and taking trips to Cherokee. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially on the family farm.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Moore; daughter, Debbie Moore; grandson, Travis L. Moore; longtime companion, Rod Lease; and four siblings, Eunice, Edith, Chan, and Fred.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Terry Moore (Joann) of Corbin and Paul Moore, Jr. (Regina) of Corbin; three grandchildren, Tim Moore of Corbin, Alaina Lanham (David) of Corbin, and Tina Kakaras (Nick) of New Mexico; four great grandchildren, Colton Moore, Davie Lanham, Aydan Kakaras, and Nadya Kakaras; brother, Drew Clevenger of Tennessee; four sisters, Linda Hefner of Tennessee, Bonnie Crumley of South Carolina, Aileen Wineinger of Indiana, and Brenda Wilson of Indiana; and by a host of family and friends who loved her greatly and will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 1pm on December 10th.
Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the McHargue Cemetery.
