Earl Southern Jr.

Earl Southern Jr. age 70, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was a retired electrician from CSX and had also worked as an independent electrician. Earl was a US Air Force veteran and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Corbin.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Earl Southern Sr., and Dora Monhollen Southern; Grandson, Lucas Southern and by a Brother, Carl Southern.
Earl is survived by his loving Wife, Ann Southern; Children, Betty Isaacs and Robert Southern and wife Amanda; Grandchildren, Cody and Kinady Isaacs, and Andy Southern; Brother, John Southern and wife Brenda; Sister, Linda Vanover and husband Bobby; and by a special nephew, Michael Vanover, as well as many family and friends.
Funeral service for Earl Southern Jr. will be held at 2pm on Saturday February 6, 2016 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Corbin with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pleas Monhollen Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 88 of Corbin.
Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home and on Saturday from 1-2pm at Good Hope Baptist Church in Corbin.
