Edgar A. Beasley

Edgar A. Beasley, 74, of Corbin, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Baptist Health.
He was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Hugh Harris Lodge No. 938 F&AM and a Marine veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mildred Beasley, and by "the beloved son he-never-had," Greg Tompkins.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 53 years, Sue Beasley, of Corbin; two daughters, Michele (Dwayne) Robertson, of Corbin; Alicia Beasley, of London; two grandchildren, Krystal Rose, of Corbin and Brandi (Cass) Brown, of Germany; two great-granddaughters, Trinity Rose, of Corbin and Mackenzie Brown, of Germany; and his extended family, Mike and Luane Tompkins, of Corbin. Also, he leaves behind many friends and acquaintances, all to mourn his passing.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with members of the Hugh Harris Lodge No. 938 F&AM and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to support the American Cancer Society's lifesaving work in Edgar's memory.
The Hart Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
