Edith Alisee Wilson, 85, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at the The Heritage.
Born August 14, 1919 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of the late James and Nancy Rose Mayne. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Wilson; six brothers, Raymond, Damon, Arnold, Clifford, Elmer and Woodrow Mayne; and four sisters, Arkie Peace, Margie Scarborough, Maudie Hickey and Gerthie Bennett.
She is survived by four children, Doris Hollins, Raymond Wilson and wife Shirley, Clifford Wilson and wife Ann, all of Corbin, and Jennifer Wilson of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
