Edith Louise Shackleford

Edith Louise Shackleford, 97, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in New Tazewell, Tennessee. Born in Lancaster, KY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ora May Doolin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands John Walter Burnside, Francis Quebedeaux, David Eugene Lewis, and Everett Shackleford; brothers Robert Doolin, David Lee Doolin, and Lawrence Doolin. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Corbin. Surviving to mourn her passing are her children Janet Louise Hawkins and Raymond Walter Burnside; step-daughter Patty Helton; a half-sister Sylvia Jean Myers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several great-great grandchildren. Funeral service for Edith Louise Shackleford will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Elliott and Rev. Maverick Helton officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. If attending, please remember to wear a face covering and to social distance.
