Edna Lorine 'Sweet Pea' Whittaker

Edna Lorine "Sweet Pea" Whittaker, age 77, passed away on October 22, 2009 at her Home in Keavy, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 10, 1932 at High Splint in Harlan County, KY. Lorine was a homemaker in addition to working at Mack's Grocery Store in Harlan, KY, and B&H Shoes in Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Clifford and Myrtle Brock, and by a Sister Christine Lovill.
Lorine is survived by her Husband, John William Whittaker; Daughters, Darlene Owens Cole and husband Dean of Kendall, New York; Robin Owens Osborne and husband Mike of Corbin; Step-Daughters, Kevin Whittaker and wife Jessica of Horse Cave, KY; Laverne Burns and husband Kenny of Morgantown, KY; Becky Whittaker of Beaver Dam, KY; Nine Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren; as well as, many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 4pm until her funeral service at 5pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin. Burial will follow in the Whittaker Family Cemetery in Laurel County, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
