Edward Dale Robertson

Edward Dale Robertson, 64, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center at Wilmore.
Born in Corbin, Dale was the son of Billie Earls Robertson and the late Edward M. Robertson. He was a 1967 graduate of Corbin High School and served in the U.S. Air Force 1968-1976, including a year in Vietnam. He was an engineer with CSX Railroad for 32 years and belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Dale had been an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte Rowlett Robertson, sons Aaron Cable Robertson and Andrew Dale Robertson, grandchildren Chloe and Abby Robertson, his mother Billie Robertson, a sister Diane Jones, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 am Thursday with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
A graveside service with military honors by the American Legion Post 88 Honor Guard will be held at 2 pm Saturday at Locust Grove Cemetery.
