Elizabeth Jane Sawyers

Elizabeth Jane Sawyers, age 93, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Laurel County, she was the daughter of the late John Goff and Lila Sampson Goff. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Sawyers.
She is survived by three sons: Leland Sawyers and wife Katherine, Joe Sawyers and wife Anita, and Richard Sawyers and wife Charlotte; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marie Hopkins and Dorothy Shinsato, all who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, January 24, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Buster Patterson and Rev. Billy Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Felts Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
