Elizabeth Pearl Osborne

Elizabeth Pearl Osborne, age 88, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at NHC Place in Franklin, Tennessee. Born in Twila, KY to Claude and Sarah Jones Charles, she was the youngest of seven children: Clarence, Herman, Thurman, Glen, and Tilman Charles, and Kathleen Charles Drnek, all who predeceased her. A graduate of Wallins High School, she was proud of her Harlan County roots and enjoyed reading and learning about its' history. She was married to Charles Ray Osborne for 51 years until his passing, and was the office manager for his insurance business for 40 years. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Linda Charlene Osborne Blair (Tom), a granddaughter, Lauren Blair Duckworth (David), and three great grandchildren, Charles, Blair, and Andrew Duckworth. Elizabeth (Lib to her many friends) was a longtime member of Lynn Camp Baptist Church, where she was active in the WMU and as Sunday School Secretary. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. But her greatest joy was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A private visitation and funeral service was held on Saturday, July 31 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Jervis officiating. Interment followed beside Charles at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
