Elizabeth Sharp Siler, age 90, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Blaine Sharp and Mary Rose Sharp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Siler; five children: Billy and Louise Taylor, Evelyn Kinman, Collen Turner, and Dalphene Neagle; brothers: Rev. Alonzo Sharp, Joe Sharp, Rev. Arlo Sharp, Walter Sharp, Rev. Kermit Sharp, and infants Paul and Roscoe Sharp; and sisters: Biddy Burdine, Helen Johnson and Pearl Eaton.
She is survived by daughter, Glenda McCoy Newsome and husband Terry; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Oma Minette of Corbin and Areitta Dinkle of Indianapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon on Wednesday, Dec. 5th, until the funeral at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Reeder and Rev. Jimmy Logan officiating. Burial will be in the Worley Cemetery.
