Elsie Day Jones

Elsie Day Jones, age 90, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2004 at the Christain Health Center in Corbin.
She was born on January 24, 1914 in Cynthiana, Kentucky to the late Gilbert and Sarah Lunsford Day.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Jones; a Son, J.B. Jones; her siblings, Henry Day, Paul Day, Austin Day, Arthur Day, and Amo Day Bryant.
She is survived by her sister, Gracie Day Pearl of Texas; Numerous Nieces and Nephews including a Special Niece Thelma Gene Jackson Bonneau of Texas;  Special Friends, Mary McKnight and Earl, and Muriel Jones Johnson, Larry and Fay Shelley, Opal Stanifer, and Bill and Wilma Root; two Special Cousins, Katherine Marie Rowland and Sarah Melton.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 2pm at the Rominger Funeral Home, Manchester, Kentucky.
Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Burning Springs, Kentucky.
Visitation will be on Wednesday,  August 25, 2004 from 6-8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky, and on Thursday from Noon until the time of the service at 2:00pm at the Rominger Funeral Home in Manchester, Kentucky.
All arrangements are by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, Kentucky.
