Elsie Faye Leonard

Elsie Faye Leonard, 75, formerly of Lily, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Sylacauga, AL.
She was the widow of John Robert Leonard, Sr. and was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Ray and Eula Jones Burkhart, as well as her son John Robert Leonard, Jr. and brothers E. C., Alvin, and David Malcolm "Mike" Burkhart.
Elsie belonged to Eastside Church of God, had worked at Caron Spinning Co., and served as a foster parent for 35 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Lariviere and husband Martial; three grandchildren, Brook and Ronnie Claiborne, and Regan Westerfield; her sister, Margie McIntosh of Columbus, OH; two brothers, Donald Wayne Burkhart of Lily and Ernest Ray Burkhart, Jr. of Nineveh, IN; and several cousins including Estell Burkhart of Lily.
Visitation will be from 6 until 9pm Friday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 1pm Saturday with Rev. Randall Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Hopkins Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home to help with expenses.
