Elzetta Elliott, 61, of Woodbine, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was born on December 25, 1942 in Harlan County to James Arthur Rapier and Myrtly McBee Rapier. She was a homemaker and attended the Chapel Grove Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Jason Glen Cole, by one brother and one sister.
She is survived by her husband David Elliott of Woodbine; six daughters, Lisa Cole and husband Eddie of Maiden, North Carolina, Marie Cole and husband Ralph of Williamsburg, Patty Exline and husband Les of Hickory, North Carolina, Rosie Bassette and husband Marcel of Hickory, North Carolina, Jeannie Elliott of Woodbine, Diane Hubbard and husband Sol of Maiden, North Carolina; one son Bobby Joe Elliott and wife Audrea of Woodbine; three brothers, Richard Rapier of Green County, Kentucky, Ernest Rapier of Ohio, and Herman Rapier of Woodbine; two sisters, Loretta Lively of Swanton, Ohio and Vesta Wyatt of Waco, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Earl Tye officiating. Burial will follow in the Clouse Cemetery in Knox County.
Pallbearers will be Tony Cole, Jonathon Elliott, David Cole, Ralph Cole, Eddie Cole, and Jimmy Elliott.
