Emenal 'Uel' Messer

Emenal "Uel" Messer, age 82, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was born in Gray, Kentucky, son of the late Matt Messer and Eunice Johnson Messer, and was a member of New Vision Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Son, Euell David Messer.
Uel is survived by his Wife, Joan Foley Messer; Children:  Sherry Jenkins and husband Nealy, Jerry Messer and wife Tina, Donna Hinkle and husband Glen, Rhonda Johnson and husband Kenny, Jimmy Messer, Steven Messer, and Preston Messer; 17 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, Clara Ellison, Stella Smith and husband Junior, Lois Tuttle and husband Henry, Brenda Gray, Matt Messer, and Denny Messer and wife Alicia; and by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
Funeral service for Mr. Messer will be held at 2pm on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Brent Carroll and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Corbin.
