Emily Rose Pastore

Emily Rose Pastore, age 28, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Baptist Health Corbin. 

She was born on March 29, 1996, in Evansville, IN, the daughter of Scott Joseph Pastore and Leslie Berg Pastore. A beacon of infectious joy, Emily bloomed where she was planted, spreading love and cheer in every corner. Despite her disability, Emily's life was rich with experiences and filled with accomplishments that transcended conventional norms. 

Emily was a courageous young woman who loved life to the fullest. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Corbin, KY, where she delighted in the music and fellowship. Emily's hobbies included traveling, enjoying the simple pleasure of ice cream, going for long walks, and basking in the sunshine. Her love for music and slinkies were unrivaled. Emily, with her radiant smile and beautiful laugh, had an uncanny ability to light up any room she entered. Her loving nature and spirited disposition touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark that will be cherished forever. Emily was a testament to the power of positivity, demonstrating that despite life's challenges, one can still find happiness and spread it to others. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Kenneth Berg, and Pat and Rosemarie Pastore. 

In addition to her parents, Scott and Leslie, she is survived by her sister, Bethany Grace Pastore; grandmother, Grace Wallace Berg; aunts and uncles, Dawn Pastore, Sharon Pastore, Randy Pastore (Stacey), Robert Kenneth Berg, Jr., and Stephanie Berg Leisenring (John); and cousins, Julia, Madeline, and Katherine Leisenring, Shauna Mathews, Cassidy Edinger, Joshua Pastore, and Alex "Stormy" Pastore. 

A celebration of life will begin at 6pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Prior to the service, a visitation period for family and friends will be held from 4-6pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial contribution to the benevolence fund at Immanuel Baptist Church.
