Ethel May Crook

Ethel May Crook, 89, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born November 8, 1917 in Aberdeen, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Mary Carter Sears. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gothrie Caul Crook in 1983; and by one sister, Geneva Mauney. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Williamsburg and worked at the Bank of Williamsburg for 37 years in several capacities including branch manager, and was the First Female Vice-President.
She is survived by her son Alan Crook and his wife Terri of California; and by her grandchildren, Stephanie Richardson and husband Ronnie, Stephen Crook, Devin Crook, and Zachary Crook.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 4, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Ed Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynn Camp Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
