Eugene Begley

Eugene Begley, 82, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born August 10, 1924 in Hyden, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Will and Edna Begley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melvie "Peg" Begley and his sister Eva Shephard.
He is survived by his daughter Saundra Nickels; grandson, Terry Nickels; brother, Ralph Begley of Dayton, Ohio; sister, Aileen McDaniel of Troy, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 2 pm Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm Saturday, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
