Eula M. (Kersey) Scalf

Eula M. (Kersey) Scalf, age 88, of Lexington, KY, passed away on Tuesday March 28, 2023, at Lexington Premier Nursing and Rehabilitation after a brief illness.

Eula was born in Jonesville, VA and spent many happy years growing up and living in Kentucky. She was a retiree from Fayette County Public Schools, Lexington, KY. She loved the children that she served every day for over 25 years. She was a member of Eastern Star Venus Chapter # 179 Williamsburg, KY, and the Lexington Senior Citizen Center. She was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan and loved her vegetable & flower gardening. She loved the Lord and was last a member of Eastland Parkway Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Scalf, parents, Anderson & Elizabeth (Barber) Kersey, 12 brothers and sisters, Pearl Mills, Carmack Kersey, Phoebe Middleton, Rufus Kersey, Bud Fee, Morgan Fee, Maude Skidmore, Jim Kersey, Kyle Kersey, Dora Williams, Lena Siler, and Sue Bird.

Eula is survived by her children, Wade M. Scalf (Kim), Phillip Scalf (Melanie), Donna Esson (Gordon), and Darla Bunfill (Nate), grandchildren, Brendon Esson, Thomas Bunfill, Stephen Perdue, Haley Scalf, Ashleigh Bunfill, Teddy Bunfill, and Jack Perdue.

Visitation for Eula Scalf will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 12:30 until the time of her funeral service at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
