Eulus Hensley

Eulus Hensley, age 83, of Gray, beloved husband and father went to heaven on Monday, November 9, 2015.
He was born on February 24, 1932 at Bailey’s Switch in Knox County, to the late Sally and Richard Hensley.
Eulus is survived by his Wife of 64 years, Frances Anderson Hensley. They were married at Pineville, KY on August 18, 1951.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his six Children, Faye (Denny) McCreary of Elkhart, IN; Judy (Roger) McCreary, Carol (James) Cravens, Joe (Beverly) Hensley, Tim (Donella) Hensley, and Tracy (Steve) Wilburn all of Gray, KY; Grandchildren, Sandy (Jim) Baker, Cindy (Ricky) Love, Jessica (Chris) Hubbard, Carrie (Jay) Saunders, Michael (Holly) Pringle, Kelly (Ryan) Potts, Jimmy Hensley, and Fred Hensley including, special grandkids Mike McCreary, Jonthan Barton, and Christine Barton; Great Grandchildren, Angel and Allison Love, Colton Hubbard, Sean and Nathan Norris, Vicki Pringle, Edward and Liz Vancil, Mattie Armstrong, Dyllan, Tommy, and Quinton Potts, Kerah Hensley, Hunter and Zach Hensley; Brother, Alford (Genevieve) Hensley; Sisters, Louise Phipps and Lucille Owens; and by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his Parents, Eulus was preceded in death by a special granddaughter, Angela McCreary; Brothers, Bill Clarkston, Hubert, Eugene, and James Earl Hensley; and by his Sisters, Evelyn Brock, Samantha Frazier, and Myrtle Hensley.
He worked at Cadillac in Detroit, Michigan for 12 years before moving back to Gray where he owned Hensley’s Grocery for several years. Eulus was a farmer at heart and was the happiest when he was in his garden or on his tractor. He was known by many as the ‶Bean Man″ and for many years you could find him selling his garden produce near RECC on 25E in Gray. People as far away as Detroit would come back every summer to buy his produce.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 13, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Bargo and Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating. Burial will follow in Candle Ridge Cemetery in Gray.
