Evelene Shores

Evelene Shores, age 76, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012, at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin.
Born in Barbourville, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Stanley and Lillie Smith Shores. Evelene was a homemaker and was Protestant by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Marcum, Vernon Shores, and Timuel Shores.
She is survived by a sister, Dorothy McDonald of Corbin; three brothers, Charles Shores of Corbin, David Shores of Tennessee, and Orville Shores and wife Dorothy of Corbin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 1pm Wednesday, June 13, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Mason and Rev. Claude Medlin officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 12, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
