Evelyn Helton Engle

Evelyn Helton Engle, age 92, of Gray, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Corbin.
She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Troy V. Engle, whom she married on Aug. 8, 1938; her parents, John Colvin and Eliza Jane Engle Helton; brothers, Oscar, Raleigh, Weart, and Herbert Helton; sister, Emily Helton.
She is survived by her three children, Ada Gilbert and husband Arnold of Gray, Brenda Medlin and husband Danny of Keavy, and Troy Engle Jr. and wife Peggy Marie of Gray; Grandchildren and their spouses, Charlotte and Calvin Vaughn, Luke and Fay Gilbert, Anita and Greg Dewees, Billy and Jamie Medlin, Denise and Earl Carter, Cindy and Robert Simmons, Danny and Carmen Medlin, Jenny Engle, Ivan, Joe, and Troy Roberts, Angel Hill, and Kimberly Engle; 20 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; two sisters, Eve Stevens of San Diego, CA, and Ruth Brochaus of Cincinnati, OH; as well as, many family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be on Friday, May 23, 2008, at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Bush and Rev. Dan Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Helton Cemetery in Gray.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Thursday, May 22nd, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
