Everette "Gene" Marcum

Everette "Gene" Marcum, age 69, of Corbin, KY, formerly of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Tuesday June 30, 2020 at Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation in Corbin. He was born in Middlesboro, KY, a son to the late Jess Willard Marcum and Dollie Howerton Marcum. Gene was retired from the former Cumberland Gap Provisions. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brothers, Buddy Marcum and Curt Howerton and by a Sister, Ruthie Jane McManaway. Gene is survived by his Daughter, Regina Slusher and husband Fred; Son, Joseph Zacchaeus Marcum; Grandson, Fred William Slusher II, Granddaughter, Tessa Marcum; Siblings, Gail England (Randolph), Tom Ed Marcum (Hattie), Audrey Lou Marcum, Maynard Lee Marcum (Vivian), Laura May Evans, Brenda Sue Marcum, and John Marcum (Sheryl), and by several nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be from 6-7pm on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home where his funeral service will be held at 7pm on Friday with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
