Floyd Estep

September 25, 1928 — November 16, 2003

Floyd Estep, 75, of Paris Karr Road, Keavy, passed away on Sunday, November 16, at the home of his daughter. Born on September 25, 1928 in Clay County, he was the son of the late Jack and Lula Asher Estep. He was Baptist by faith and was a retired dozier operator in the logging industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Gladys Roark Estep; by four brothers, Beve, Cloyd, Edward and Alex Estep; and by two sisters Edna Wagers and Ethel Roark.
He is survived by his children Julie Estep Karr and husband Troy of Keavy; Jr. Scott Estep and wife Cheryl of Keavy; Louella "Lou" Davenport and husband Ancil of Corbin; Ruth Metcalf and husband Lonny of Corbin; Glynn Estep of Keavy; Mona "Sue" Carpenter and husband Elmer of Corbin; Justin Wayne Estep and wife Sandra of Keavy; and Tammy Shelton of Corbin. He is also survived by a brother Cecil Estep of Corbin, by 22 Grandchildren, 42 Great-Grandchildren and one Great-great-grandchild.
His funeral service is 11 am Wednesday, November 19 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Rev. Mark Hisle officiating. Burial will follow in Katie's Creek Cemetery in Clay County. The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 pm Tuesday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
