Frank "Sonny" King, Jr.

Frank "Sonny" King, Jr. age 75, of Corbin passed away on Thursday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted Christian and hard working man who loved his Lord, Church, and his family. He was an active member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Corbin, and was a US Army Veteran.
Frank was preceded in death by his Father Frank H. King Sr., Mother, Nola Morgan King, Daughter, Shawna M. Garland, and by two sisters, Betty Lou Karr and Nancy J. King.
He is survived by his loving Wife, Janice Sears King; Children; James Thompson and wife Sandra; Brian Atchison and wife Shirley; Chris King and wife Missy; Lisa Farmer, and Willie Nashwinter; 15 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; and by many other family and friends including special lifelong friends, Bob Taylor and Lavina Johnson.
Funeral service for Frank Sonny King Jr. will be held at 1pm on Monday February 20, 2017 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Mayle and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin with military honors.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 6-9pm and Monday from 12noon until 1pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Corbin.
