Freda Mae Brock

Freda Mae Brock, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication to the people she loved. 

Her journey through life was marked by the splendor of nature, the joy of giving, and a strong faith in Holiness that guided her every step. 

Freda lived her life in full bloom, just like the flowers she lovingly delivered every day from Betty's Flowers until her retirement. 

Born in Knox County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Brock and Eddie Lowe Brock; and by her siblings, Debbie Price, Tom Brock, and Jimmy Brock. 

Freda is survived by her dear children, Stephanie Brock and Nigel Medlin; grandchildren, Hallie Brock, Braxton Medlin, Paisleigh Medlin, Brody Walters, and Elijah Walters; siblings, S. T. Brock, Don Brock, Norma Foley, Linda Brock, and Rufus David Brock; former spouse Eddie Medlin; and by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Her love lives on in those who knew her and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and grace.  

A graveside service will be held at 12noon on Monday February 24, 2025, at Brafford Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky. Arrangements by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky.
