Gene Kinsey

Gene Kinsey, age 79, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Emil Kinsey and Ruth Favorite.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Sue Johnson Kinsey, son, John Henry Michael Kinsey, brothers, Sam Kinsey, Mike Larrick, and Freddy Kinsey, and by a sister, Charlene Sherman.

Gene is survived by his children, Beverly Smallwood, Ronald Kinsey, and Elizabeth Anderson; grandchildren, Charles Kinsey (Rebecca), Wanda West (Christopher), Matthew Kinsey (Alykz), Michael Kinsey, and Ashely Anderson; great grandchildren, Kaylie West, Angel Herrell, Jaelyn West, Paige Herrell, December Herrell, Aaden West, Katherine Bishop, Gabriella West, Dean Adams, Scarlet Adams, Trinity Kinsey, Everleigh West, Kai Kinsey, and he was anticipating the birth of Amelia West, brother, Paul West, and sister, Beverly Heidenreich.

Visitation will be held from 1pm until 3pm on Monday January 23, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 3pm, with Bro. Norm Brock officiating.  Burial will follow in the Eaton Town Cemetery in Whitley County, Kentucky.
