Geneva Wyatt Farmer Fogle, 94, formerly of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Laurel Heights in London. Geneva was a retired bookkeeper for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Corbin, and a devoted member of Seventeenth Street Christian Church of Corbin.
She is survived by two sons: Jack Farmer and wife Donna of London and Joe Farmer and wife Kay of Louisville. She is also survived by grandchildren Mark Farmer (Sara), Melissa Farmer Calabrese (Jeff), and Katie Farmer Leslie (Dan), and two great-grandchildren, Alice Geneva Calabrese and John August Calabrese, all of Louisville. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank P. and Almeda Bunch Wyatt; husbands Arvel Jack Farmer and Ernest Hoover Fogle; a brother Jennings Wyatt; sisters Cledith Walker, Louvena Hooker, Alma Masters, Thelma Belew, and Frankie Pennington; and grandson Andrew T. Farmer.
Geneva's visitation will begin at 10 am Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow at 12 noon with Reverend Dann Masden, Brother Richie Smith, and Reverend Tanya Tyler officiating.
Burial will be at the A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Calabrese, Jim Connor, Mark Farmer, Bill Hoover, Vin Hoover, and Dan Leslie. Honorary bearers will be Gary Bennett, Marvin Craig, Bill Davis, Terry Disney, and Ralph Gregory.
