Geraldine Gilbert Barton

Geraldine Gilbert Barton, 67, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Bell County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Gilbert and Hazel North Gilbert. She was a homemaker and was Pentecostal by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Lawrence and Jimmy Gilbert.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Barton; son, James Edward Drumming of Corbin; three grandchildren, Jessica Wells, Justin Drumming and Jamie Drumming; brother, Charles Gilbert; five sisters, Minnie Trice of Corbin, Frances Begley of Corbin, Mary Hembree of Ohio, Thelma Drummonds of Corbin, and Charlene McVey of Jellico; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends all who mourn her passing.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm Saturday, May 8,at Corn Creek Cemetery with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with the cost of the service.
The Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY is in charge of arrangements.
